Brenne Whisky at Market Basket
New York is a place of pioneers and discovery from the earliest days of the Dutch settlers to today. Out latest liqueur in the shop, Sorel hails from boutique spirits producer Jack from Brooklyn. Thus proving once again that creativity and tenacity seem to boil over from the city that never sleeps.
” It is in this grand tradition that Jack From Brooklyn is proud to offer unique artisanal alcoholic beverages. Hand-crafted in small batches, we combine all natural spices, pure cane sugar and the finest 100% organic New York grain alcohol. The resultant libations offer a unique aromatic profile and a distinctive flavor, creating vast new options for both consumer and mixologist”
This Friday at 2pm we will host a meet and greet/cocktail demo with Brenne Whisky producer, Allison Patel who’s hand-crafted whisky we are wild about. Brenne is special because it is aged in limousin oak and then finished in cognac barrels. The cognac barrels give the whisky a vibrant nose of apricot. Brenne has a lovely creamy mouthfeel with caramel notes. Allison and Jack from Brooklyn are friends and it seems their products are following suit. The Brooklyn Blossom is a concoction made from both of these lovely potions. Come out at 2pm to sip this lovely libation! This is a great opportunity for whisky enthusiasts to meet Allison before she heads to Nashville to sit on a panel at the Whiskey Fest!
