New This Week
The distilled spirit that inspires Ron Burgundy to break out in song is having it’s own renaissance. Craft Single Malt scotches are very popular. Leading the pack is Kilchoman, one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland. It is the first distillery to be established on Islay in 124 years. Kilchoman is one of six distilleries that uses the traditional floor malting method. In addition they harvest barley on their farm unlike many other distilleries. The flagship single malt pictured right made the cover of Whiskey Advocate this month. So, it seems that this Scotch it making some waves in other places than Scotland.
We are happy to share Kilchoman along with several other beautiful Scotch expressions from the Isle of Arran on April 2nd at Sammy B’s from 6-8 pm. Come out and take a mini tour of Scotland with us. You can RSVP at the store. The cost is $20.00 per person and $30.00 per couple. And as always “tell a buddy, bring a friend”
