La Mère Boitier Macon-Chardonnay
Need a refreshing white this weekend? Don’t forget France. You have all really been appreciative of the French wines we have poured lately, and this week we’ll crack La Mère Boitier Macon-Chardonnay. La Mère Boitier is the highest peak in a small, regional mountain chain in Burgundy. This chain is, in part, responsible for the favorable micro-climate that exists in the Mâcon wine region. This is a magnificent region that is capable of producing some of the finest crisp and balanced wines made from the Chardonnay grape. If you are burned out on Chardonnay, or never thought you would enjoy white wine, we encourage you to taste this lovely wine. You may find a new appreciation for this “noble” grape!
Terra Fossil Malbec
Terra Fossil Malbec is a tasty new Argentinian red that we think is a fabulous value. Terra Fossil pours a deep, dark red color with violet tints. It offers a generous, complex aroma of cassis, black currant, and blackberries. The palate features a bold roundness with a rich, velvety texture and silky tannins. We might pair this with beef, cheese and spicy dishes.
Cantine Aurora Dolce Stilnovo Rosso
Sweet wine folks will love our Cantine Aurora Dolce Stilnovo Rosso, a lovely Italian wine. One of the few naturally sweet reds, this light-bodied, fruity red has delicate strawberry flavors and the natural sweetness from the ripe, ripe grapes. A slight “spritz” makes it nice and light on the palate. Dolce Stilnovo Rosso is great as a table wine for those who don’t like “dry,” or as a dessert wine that’s not cloyingly sweet. Try this with chocolate cake!
