Here is Pilar, Hemingway’s noble and iconic wooden vessel. The actual boat is no longer in existence but preserved in our memory and rebuilt more than once to adorn waterways, sheds and shops. Few classic wooden boats are made like this anymore. However distilleries are making craft rum for the nostalgic sailor just as they produce unique bourbon for the aspiring bootlegger. Papa’s Pilar Rum is actually rumored to be aged in Angel’s Envy bourbon casks giving it a robust flavor. This striking rum expression, Papa’s Pilar joins Angel’s Envy bourbon on the tasting table Thursday January 16th at the shop with the Angel’s Envy whisky guardian, Baker who will be on hand to answer any burning bourbon questions. Angel’s Envy is Lincoln Henderson’s last project before he passed last year. He is known for creating Woodford Reserve among other great whiskies.
Mark your calenders and join us from 4-7pm on January 16th to check out these gorgeous spirit expressions.
