Finally, we are happy to report that Electra Red Moscato is back in the shop after quite some delay. The current vintage has even garnered Double Gold from the San Francisco Wine and Spirits Competition. Electra Red Moscato, a blend of Black and Orange Muscat is cultivated from a small plot in the Jan Joaquin Valley at the Quady Winery. Muscat is believed to be one of the earliest grapes cultivated by the Greeks and Romans. The popes of Avignon even favored wines made from the Muscat grape. The aroma of the growing grapes is said to attract bees as it is so fragrant. Quady only makes sweet wines including award- winning Vermouth and Sherry. If you want to taste the best and most sought after sweet wine that California has to offer, then try this wine. End of story. Everything else will pale in comparison. Even dry wine drinkers should take note that this wine is lovely after dinner with a dark chocolate dessert or creme brulee’. Yum!
