Sun and Sea:
Many wines tout oak and butter on their labels but few can stand up to Mer Soleil. The name aptly translates to “sea and sun”. On the sunny slopes of the Santa Lucia Highlands grapes get pelted by rays daily as they sway in the coastal breezes. Winemaker, Chuck Wagner, planted vines here in 1988 and saw the first harvest in 1992. Ever since, this sophisticated lady has been satisfying palates around the world. Mer Soleil is as well-matched with a French cheese plate as it is with a buttery broccoli and chicken casserole. Mer Soleil has managed to deliver a Chardonnay with notes of oak and butter that are beautifully balanced and in no way overpowering. While some wines shout, Mer Soleil sings. Friday night we will have this wine open along with it’s sister, Mer Soleil Unoaked. Taste both wines and see how different they are in profile.
Enjoy 15% off of these wines as well as any tasting wine!
